For those of you who need visual cues, here is what Carlin looks like, on the right hand side of Trans Canada Highway #1 as you approach the White Lake exit going west from Salmon Arm. It is the brown building on the right, up on a small hill. You have to double back on the frontage road beside the highway to get to it.
Just past De Mille’s Farm Market, you cross the Salmon River. Carlin Hall is about 16.2 km from there.
Going west, you’ll pass the Tappen Valley Road exit, the Sunnybrae Park exit, and right after you see the Auto Museum on the right, the highway opens from one to two lanes. You’ll see the Entering Shuswap sign and right after that the exit sign for White Lake Road.
Take the White Lake Road exit, and turn right at the stop sign. Then take an immediate left onto Myers Frontage Road. Don’t go back under the highway!
Stay on Myers Frontage Road right to the end of it. You’ll pass Carlin Elementary Middle School on the left and you will see Carlin Hall directly in front of you on top of a small hill. Go up the driveway and to the side of the building where there is lots of parking.
